So far, apples and pears have been a complete bust. He gets a most unpleasant look on his face and most of it dribbles right back out. Rice cereal is hit or miss, sometimes he hates it - other times he tolerates it. His favorite by far is bananas and sweet potato. I started putting banana in his cereal to make him eat a little more.
Even with the foods he likes, it's a ridiculously messy process. We usually do our "meals" late in the day so we can have a post-food hosing down in the bath tub!!

are you sure you put the spoon far enough into Gremlin's mouth? Even if it sounds brutal (which it is not supposed to be of course): put the spoon well into the cavity and then "wipe" it off against the upper gums takes a bit of getting used to, but works fine
